Amy was the principal investigator of the seminal Hospitals, Language, and Culture: A Snapshot of the Nation study that looked at how 60 hospitals across the country defined and addressed the challenges providing care to diverse populations.

This work shares a framework for creating and supporting an inclusive environment for diverse patients. It includes a self-assessment tool and many examples of promising practices.
